From Heathrow Airport: Heathrow Airport is linked to London by Underground Train (this is the metro/tube system that operates in London) to South Kensington Tube Station. Conveniently the Picadilly Line runs directly from Heathrow Airport to South Kensington Tube Station so it is unlikely that you will have to change.
There is also a Heathrow to Paddington Express rail link, however the underground tube is the cheapest.
From Gatwick Airport:
A regular and frequent overground train service runs fron Gatwick to Victoria station in London taking approximately 30-35 minutes. From Victoria you can catch an underground train to South Kensington by getting on the West bound Circle or District lines.
There are also Airbus links from Gatwick to the centre of London.
